Tumblr’s wonderfully simple blogging platform has given birth to untold distractions and oddities, from Upside Down Dogs to Brokers with Hands on their Faces.

 

And yet it’s not just amusing pictures and re-blogged content: Tumblr is also home to original prose, artwork, thought pieces, music and editorial writing; a diversity that inspired graphic designer Matt McInerneyto host the Tumblr Awards. The winners of this unofficial community vote were announced on Friday.
